I just bought GW last night, and installed it this morning. I'm told I should be able to create 4 characters, but am only allowed 2. Is there a known reason for this?

Without doubt when you log in you can only see 2 characters on the screen and the Create button is greyed out? If you seriously cannot create the 3rd or 4th character then you will need to contact technical support directly.

definatly sounds like a bug to me unless you are missing something...like is the create button realy greyed out? why odnt you post a screenshot of your character select screen that would help us maybe

That is mostly correct. After creating 2 characters, I can still get to the character creation screen, design the character, and name the character. But it is that create button that is grayed out.

I will contact support.

for the fun of it try naming it something else

just a hunch make it completely g rated with no possible inuendo and see what happens
please let us know as things have been happening and this might help

Yeah, sounds like the name is in use or not allowed...

I tried "Val Halla" and it said that name was taken. After that, the create button has been totally grayed out. No matter what name I try I cannot get it to be active again. And for the record, ALL my names are totally G rated.

Just in case you missed it your character needs at least 2 names or the Create button will remain greyed out.

along with the 2 names i forget if there is a minimum number of letters as well
